# PAVRtech > PAVRtech is an expert-led AI consultancy for midsize businesses, starting with climate, logistics and construction. Every project pairs an industry expert who has run the operation with engineers who built AI at Google, Snapchat, Yahoo and Monzo. Projects follow the eight-week PAVR Method (Pinpoint, Automate, Validate, Run) and are measured against one agreed KPI. Key facts: - What: AI process automation, workflow automation and new revenue streams for midsize businesses. - Company size served: midsize businesses, £5m to £500m in revenue, or 25 to 8,000 employees. - Where: Based in the UK, working with clients across the UK and Europe, and open to projects in the US. - How to start: A fixed-fee, two-week sprint that finds the chore worth automating and proves whether AI can take it off your plate. If you go ahead with the build, the fee is credited in full. - Who it is for: Procurement, Operations and Fleet, Bids and Commercial, and Sustainability and Governance leaders. - How it differs: industry expertise and AI engineering in one team, working prototypes before commitment, priced for midsize budgets rather than enterprise rates. - Founders: Payal Shah (Co-founder and CEO; https://www.linkedin.com/in/payalviralshah/); Viral Shah (Co-founder and CTO; https://www.linkedin.com/in/shahhviral/). - Method: Pinpoint (Weeks 1 to 2), Automate (Weeks 2 to 6), Validate (Weeks 6 to 8), Run (Ongoing). - Contact: https://www.pavrtech.com/contact/ ## Solutions - [Climate Solutions](https://www.pavrtech.com/climate-solutions/): Supplier Baseline Generator and carbon KPIs built into the supply chain workflows your team already uses. Measured by: Supplier emissions coverage and data-quality score. - [Logistics and Transportation](https://www.pavrtech.com/logistics-and-transportation/): Scheduling and route optimisation that plan more jobs per shift and send fewer empty trucks. Measured by: Empty-mile rate and jobs planned per planner hour. - [Growth Workflows](https://www.pavrtech.com/growth-workflows/): Construction bid optimisation and churn optimisation that point your team at the work most likely to pay. Measured by: Bid win rate and revenue retained. ## Who it's for - [Procurement](https://www.pavrtech.com/who-its-for/procurement/): You are being asked to cut cost, manage supplier risk and now report supplier emissions, with the same team. We automate the data work so your buyers can negotiate. - [Operations and Fleet](https://www.pavrtech.com/who-its-for/operations-and-fleet/): Your margins live in utilisation. We build planning tools on your own data that help your planners fill more of every truck and every shift. - [Bids and Commercial](https://www.pavrtech.com/who-its-for/bids-and-commercial/): Every bid your team writes costs time you do not get back. We help you choose the bids you can win, write them faster and keep the customers you already have. - [Sustainability and Governance](https://www.pavrtech.com/who-its-for/sustainability-and-governance/): You own the climate numbers but not the data behind them. We build the pipeline from procurement and operations, with the audit trail your board and customers expect. ## Company - [About PAVRtech and the founders](https://www.pavrtech.com/about/) - [Our experts](https://www.pavrtech.com/experts/) - [Contact and booking](https://www.pavrtech.com/contact/) ## AI Readiness Checklist - [AI Readiness Checklist for midsize businesses](https://www.pavrtech.com/ai-readiness-checklist/): Ten questions that tell you whether a chore in your business is ready to hand to AI, and what to fix first if it is not. Score each one 0 (no), 1 (partly) or 2 (yes). It takes ten minutes. 1. Can you name one repetitive chore that costs your team a day or more every week? AI pays back on frequent, repeatable work. If you cannot name the chore, start there, not with the technology. 2. Is there a senior sponsor who wants this fixed and can approve a phased budget? Projects without an owner stall at the first data question. A sponsor keeps decisions moving. 3. Can you say how you would measure success in one number? Hours saved, cost per job, empty miles, win rate or data coverage. One number keeps everyone honest. 4. Do you know today’s value for that number? Without a baseline you cannot prove the result, and you cannot build a business case the CFO will sign. 5. Does the chore leave a data trail? Spreadsheets, ERP, TMS or CRM exports, invoices or emails all count. AI learns from what your team already records. 6. Can you export at least 12 months of that data without an IT project? Access is usually the first blocker. A simple export is enough to start. 7. Would a person trust that data to make the decision today? Imperfect data is normal. The question is whether it is good enough to act on, with a confidence rating. 8. Do you know where the answer needs to land? An email, a spreadsheet, a CRM field or your planning system. Tools that fit the workflow get used. 9. Will the people who do the chore today help test and check the output? The best results come when the team stays in control and the tool takes the repetitive work. 10. Do you know the rules around this decision? Customer, audit or regulatory requirements shape how the solution is built and documented. ## Insights - Articles coming soon. ## One-page briefs (PDF) - [Climate Solutions brief](https://www.pavrtech.com/briefs/pavrtech-climate-solutions-brief.pdf) - [Logistics and Transportation brief](https://www.pavrtech.com/briefs/pavrtech-logistics-and-transportation-brief.pdf) - [Growth Workflows brief](https://www.pavrtech.com/briefs/pavrtech-growth-workflows-brief.pdf) ## FAQ - What size of business do you work with? Midsize businesses, which for us means £5m to £500m in revenue, or 25 to 8,000 employees, with real operational data but no in-house AI team. We started in climate, logistics and construction. - Where do you work? We are based in the UK and work with clients across the UK and Europe. We are also open to projects in the US. - How do we get started? With a two-week Pinpoint Sprint. It is a fixed fee, and you leave with a process map, a data audit, a KPI baseline and a business case with a clear go or no-go. If you go ahead with the build, the sprint fee is credited in full. - How long does a project take? The PAVR Method runs about eight weeks from Pinpoint to Validate: two weeks to find the right problem, four to build, two to prove it on live work. Run is ongoing, on a monthly basis. - Who actually does the work? Every project pairs an industry expert with engineers who have built AI at companies like Google, Snapchat and Monzo. The same people scope it, build it and stay for the results. - What happens to our data? Your data stays yours. We sign an NDA before we see anything and agree up front where the data lives and who can access it. Details are in our Trust Centre. - What does it cost? Projects are scoped for midsize budgets and priced as a fixed fee per phase, so you only commit to the next step once the previous one has proved its value. Most clients start with a fixed-fee Pinpoint Sprint, credited in full against the build. We share a quote after the first call. - (Climate Solutions) Do we need clean data before we start? No. Most clients start with spend exports and invoices. The Pinpoint phase maps what you have, and the baseline shows a confidence rating so you know where better data would help. - (Climate Solutions) Why does Scope 3 matter so much for a midsize supplier? Because for most businesses the supply chain is where the emissions are, and large customers now ask their suppliers for the numbers. Supply chain (Scope 3) emissions are on average 26 times higher than a company’s own operational emissions. Only 15% of companies disclosing to CDP have set a Scope 3 target, so early movers stand out to customers and lenders. A spend-based baseline with confidence ratings gets you a defensible first number in weeks, then improves as supplier data arrives. The baseline follows the GHG Protocol Scope 3 categories, so it can feed into the reporting frameworks your customers and lenders ask for. - (Climate Solutions) Does this replace our sustainability consultant? It usually makes them more effective. We build the data pipeline and workflow tools; your advisers can spend their time on strategy instead of spreadsheets. - (Logistics and Transportation) How much lorry mileage runs empty in the UK? Almost a third of it. Empty running is one of the biggest hidden costs in road freight, and one of the easiest to measure. 31% of all UK domestic HGV kilometres in 2025 were run without a load. Every empty kilometre still costs fuel, driver time and vehicle wear, with no revenue against it. Better scheduling and backhaul matching reduce empty running without buying a single new vehicle. (Source: Department for Transport, Domestic road freight statistics, United Kingdom: 2025, https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/road-freight-statistics-2025/domestic-road-freight-statistics-united-kingdom-2025) - (Logistics and Transportation) Do we have to replace our TMS? No. We work with the systems you have, reading jobs and fleet data from your TMS or spreadsheets and writing plans back in a format your team already uses. - (Logistics and Transportation) How do you prove it works before we commit? In the Validate phase the tool runs side by side with your planners on live routes, and we compare the results on the metrics agreed in Pinpoint. - (Logistics and Transportation) Will planners still be in control? Yes. The tool proposes; planners approve. It takes the repetitive work off their plate so they can handle the exceptions. - (Growth Workflows) How much bid history do we need? A couple of years of bids with outcomes is a good start. In Pinpoint we check what you have and tell you honestly whether it is enough. - (Growth Workflows) Can this work outside construction? Yes. Churn optimisation works for any business with repeat customers, and bid scoring works for any team that responds to tenders or RFPs. - (Growth Workflows) Where does the output show up? In the tools your team already uses: a weekly shortlist by email, a CRM field or a simple dashboard.
